Marine Computers

Our Marine Computers are built using top of the line components, some models like our Marine XPC uses as a base, the most recognized XPC in the market.

During the assembly of the ITC, we protect all parts with a special coating to protect all components from the harsh marine environment.

Some components are manufactured by iTmove, for example the Smart Power Supply that not only regulate the incoming power, but will also monitors the temperature of the PSU, voltage, consumption, line in / line out and other key factors. This prevents damaging the computer due to ignition start, low voltage, electrical spikes, line noise, etc.

Monitoring the temperature is a key factor to prevent extreme overheating that could result in fire due to wire melting or circuit fire. Different from AC systems (120 volt) used at home, DC systems (boats), are more difficult to manage due to the high current they handle, even at low voltages (12 volt).

Using a under rated wire, or using a smaller gauge size can overheat the cables and make them burst into flames. Our Smart power supply sends all the data to the computer via a data port, allowing our management software to evaluate the conditions and shut down the computer if needed, this happens if the computer register an anomaly like: overheat, low voltage, etc. This mechanism will also trigger an alert system to inform of any of these conditions to the user.

Our PSU can also "auto start" the PC after the engine starts, and will make the computer sleep during engine crank to allow all the energy to go to the engine starter. All of this, without damaging the PC electrical circuits.

The user can select different programs to control the behavior of the PC, for example: it can be programmed to save the current session and hibernate when the engine stops. This will maximize the battery charge.

Our Marine Computers come with 4 or more NMEA 0183 ports and can operate with 120 volt AC when the boat is connected to shore. This feature is also useful for taking the computer off the boat and use it at home.
